Join Us in Changing Lives!

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of individuals with Autism and their families?
Are you looking for an opportunity to work in a supportive, innovative environment while enjoying the adventure of living in beautiful Northern Ontario?

The Kirkland Lake Autism Center is seeking Registered Behaviour Technicians (RBTs) or Instructor Therapists to join our growing team. This is a rare opportunity to be part of a brand-new center that provides lifespan services — from early childhood ABA to adult day programming — all built on the foundation of Progressive ABA, a modern, compassionate approach to Autism therapy.

We believe that geography should never limit access to quality services, and we are committed to building a team that shares our vision of accessible, respectful, and life-changing care.

Incentive: Housing Provided
To make relocation easier, we are offering subsidized housing for successful candidates. This is an ideal opportunity for those looking to gain experience, start a new chapter, and help shape a brand-new center from the ground up.

About the Role

As an RBT/Instructor Therapist, you will:

  • Provide direct ABA therapy to children, teens, and adults with Autism using the Progressive ABA model.
  • Support clients in achieving goals related to communication, social skills, daily living skills, emotional regulation, and independence.
  • Work in a variety of settings:
  • One-to-one sessions
  • Small group programs
  • Social skills clubs
  • Adult day programs
  • Collect data, track progress, and collaborate with clinical supervisors and families.
  • Contribute to program development and create a positive, nurturing learning environment.

What We Offer

  • Housing subsidized to make relocation stress-free.
  • Competitive hourly wage based on experience and certification.
  • Comprehensive training in Progressive ABA — a modern, compassionate approach to Autism therapy.
  • Career growth opportunities within a brand-new center.
  • Supportive and collaborative team environment.
  • Opportunity to live in Northern Ontario, surrounded by lakes, nature, and a welcoming community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement individualized treatment plans under the supervision of a Clinical Director or BCBA/RBA.
  • Support clients in both skill acquisition and behavior strategies.
  • Use reinforcement-based, strength-focused teaching methods.
  • Maintain accurate session notes and data collection through our online platform.
  • Participate in team meetings, ongoing training, and family coaching sessions.
  • Collaborate with other professionals such as SLPs, OTs, and educators.

Qualifications

  • Required:
  • Post-secondary diploma or degree in psychology, behavior science, ECE, social services, or a related field.
  • Passion for working with individuals with Autism and developmental differences.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Willingness to relocate to Kirkland Lake (housing provided).
  • Preferred:
  • RBT certification (or willingness to complete certification within first 6 months of employment — training support provided).
  • Experience in ABA, special education, or related therapies.
